Several cadets at the US Air Force Academy refused to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or were unable to graduate

Four CAdets at the U.S. Air Force Academy who refused to be vaccinated against COVID-19 may miss graduation this month or their chance to be commissioned as an officer and may be required to pay back thousands of dollars in tuition.

Brian Maguire, a spokesman for the Air Force Academy, said the four graduating fourth-year cadets had not yet been reprimanded by the academy in person, but they had been informed of the potential consequences. Maguire said that while the lack of COVID-19 vaccination could prevent the four students from graduating, “with two weeks to go before graduation, students may choose to be vaccinated on balance.”

In addition to the four, two third-year cadets, one second-year cadet and six freshmen at the AIR Force Academy also refused to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
